This pair of scorching rockers by Denmark rewrote ‘call you’ and ‘magazine’ tracks for the overwhelmed audience with remarkable ease. “Call you” maintains the suave disposition from beginning to end as the lyrics are accompanied by a constant backing bass riff ala ’00s post punk revival. On the other hand, “magazine” immediately shuffles off into lively disco, then suddenly turns into a loud noisy sect of grunge guitar that tingles the senses. Every track effectively builds up from that formula into clever, listen-to-it-again hooks, all laid out nicely on “magazine” from intensity to a mysterious allure, and “call you” from the fun and energetic charm. Ben, Frankie, and David have managed to cook this dish between these two opposing cooking styles and this is an excellent blowing exploration of dynamic aspect that is typical in modern rock in this single.
