With its release titled “Barnstormer” the brand new album by Queen Daxene is sure to positively appeal to the rock and roll fan in many ways. Alex sings in perfect harmony with herself and has chosen the key that makes her sound absolutely soulful; all six tracks where produced in her bedroom, but they are sound like they were recorded in a London studio. The first track, s-train, which is a little over four minutes goes straight for his strength on production and vocal harmonies to create complex and catchy melodies of guitar lines. Songs like ‘Wabi Sabi’ brings in a stronger vocal layer, and with more wordless whoas it brings about powerful pop punk influence. The album proves that he can still put out something with truly high tempo all while containing substance like the dance-oriented playful fun of “Hands On Pumps” and reflective beauty of “Pope Gregory”. Every song makes listeners free to think about their feeling, so “Barnstormer” is interesting to listen to.
