Heavenstamp’s “Anesthesia” takes the jovial, anthemic vibe of hooky rock production, and pairs it with streams of consciousness about enduring life’s tribulations. It begins from a good old distorted guitar buzz backed with an expressive vocal lead and builds up the spirited antenna. Infrequent synth movements provide a depth layer, revived with strength, after the principal hook. During the two minutes of the track, guitar and electronics reach an interesting interaction in the song. One of the catchy vocal lines smoothly flows into the other powerful chorus, that makes ‘Anesthesia’ definitely more of the band’s rock-oriented success. This is a great debut for the band and signal to what should be a promising trajectory, meditating on the concept of being frozen while attempting to thaw.
