All Around You is Subsonic Eye’s fourth album where the band continues to play indie rock music but the overall air is somewhat more polished and better thought through. The Singaporean quintet demonstrates its development in electricity of the guitar disposition and rhythmic bass, achieving an enveloping sound that builds the atmosphere of confidence in the listener. The tracks such as “How to Be Human” discuss the theme of isolation in an urban context, still containing bright melodic elements of the group. This perhaps can be attributed to the fact that the album captures a sense of tiredness always when it comes to relaying the message of the burdens of adulthood hence offering a narration of the contemporary world. Subsonic Eye has managed to integrate all their past experiences into the present and this makes ‘All Around You’ a record that is not only smooth but rich in many ways.
