This is very much true as the EP of the band that is titled Invite Me, Kindly by HotWax is well evidenced to be one of the best youthful rock bands originating from Britain. This five-track set proves the band hailing from Hastings has grown up with strong vocals and anthemic lyrics after their debut album. The first track entitled ‘High Tea’ the bass line of which gives the listeners of the album a warm welcome. For my preference, I select the song called ‘Phone Machine’, which is a pop-rock song with lyrics concerning reflexive thought on the importance of communication. Continuity is another feature of Sampson’s arrangement of the songs; this is because one song succeeds the other, making music enjoyable and one would wish to listen to it over and over again. As it was mentioned above, the single ‘Killswitch’ is an example of the group’s potential as performers and songwriters, and the EP is an attempt to also inform the listeners that HotWax is a band which should not be ignored in the British rock scene.
