This is Ruby Fields’ first album titled “Been Doin’ It For A Bit” which looks at the trivial, real, and humorous episodes of life and both triumphs as well as failures. Lately in her songs the Sydney-based artist avoids dark feelings, but at the same time she maintains the beauty and the real life showing the evolution of her personal life. This is present in “I Want” and “Dinosaurs” of the album “Been Doin It For A Bit” where the young spirit is represented through probe into the ideals of friends and identity. Fields does not narrate, but performs stories that people can easily relate with, thus making her audiences develop personal bonds with her. A fine touch added to the production to which she brings out her raw musical silk personality that is very appealing. The song of the debut single, “Been Doin’ It For A Bit” also gives an insight of excellent talent that exists in Fields as an indie-rock singer and songwriter and a great future ahead.
