Placebo’s "Never Let Me Go" is definitely a product of a new era that still successfully captures the band’s spirit. This album is less consistent in style compared to the previous albums but there are more new tracks, ‘Forever Chemicals’ being a mix of electronic and the band’s original rock noir style. Brian Molko’s voice is unmistakable throughout the song and the wordy lyrics discuss such topics as existentialist and inner stress. There is so much depth to the sound that the listener enjoys a fully engaging experience within each track of the production. Despite this, it is still obvious that the album comes from Texas based band and is the next step in their evolution. Thus, “Never Let Me Go” is an assertive proclamation from Placebo and a guarantee of the band’s relevance.
