The album As The Love Continues by Mogwai as a great synthesis of post-rock music and soundtracks, proving the band’s growth as musicians and composers. This album has well-deserved atmospheric elements: the musical illustrations captured through instrumentation and melodies are vivid. There are songs like the “Dry Fantasy” and “Ritchie Sacramento,” and one of them creates the sad feeling which seems to always be a part of the life of the narrator, and the other shows a simple beauty when it brings the man to the middle of the desert. This is something that has been well done through the layers of production employed to make the overall product a worthwhile buy. As well as being a tribute to the late David Berman, it is a great indication of Mogwai’s ability to make the heart swell with sound. For this reason, As The Love Continues is a hypnotizing listening that consolidates their anvil in the post-rock scene.
