The Island Of Love’s debut disc can perfectly be named as a well polished record like a raw and unpolished origins the band has turned to be more polished in the disc. It is with much anticipation that white began focusing on this male-female duo as the inaugural act on his Third Man Records label and the two blend garage rock and melodic pop in an exciting manner. The energetic songs such as “Naked” and “Wild” are typical of their abilities to create choruses that stick in people’s minds and lyrics that tell their story. They managed to put that energy back into their newer studio recorded tracks raising the overall satisfaction enabling me to review it as a quite impressive work. It is safe to say that “Island Of Love” is a perfect example of what these two artists are capable of, thus, they are inviting everyone to come with them to this musical journey.
