This Indonesian band .Feast kicks things off strong with a mini-album titled “Abdi Lara Insani” that tells political messages through stadium rock. As far as the topic of lyrical content is concerned, this couldn’t be further from the truth; the band has created their name from songs having an abundance of vitality and powerful emotions within their lyrics. At first, there is a nice combination of layered vocals and hard-hitting instrumentals that come into full force in songs such as “Uang Muka”. The Chorus has pre-ordained similarities with glam-rock bands blended with a modern ’90s stoner rock compilation. Baskara Putra’s vocal performance adds more dynamics and ortality to the music, includes the element of performing /telling a storey to the songs. On the one hand, which follows the musical aspect of the album successfully and effectively, there is the suggestion of the requirement for more storey-telling. It therefore demonstrates how, through ‘Feast’, Insani exhibits the band’s seeds to turn into impactful voices of rock and energises showmanship that commands attention.
