Michellar – Intersection

Intersection is Michellar's radiant burst of Americana folk that nails the dizzying thrill of love at first sight. From the moment this song begins (with that first twang of banjo) to the driving rhythm that feels like a heartbeat increasing as the motorcycle speeds up, this song tells stories of complete strangers meeting, finding something completely magical in each other and never having the chance to meet again. Stepping into new sonic territory, Michellar proves her versatility as a songwriter in what is at once a harrowing tale of being lost and alone and an ode to the earthy charm The Lumineers are famous for and the anthemic warmth of Mumford & Sons, firing it down with a sound that’s distinctly her own.

Wilson’s production is a shining, organic and alive sounding one with vocals by him adding a layer of joyful urgency to Michellar’s vision. The track is as infectious as it is foot stomping energy, balancing wistful storytelling. The emotional core is what stands out most — the song isn't just about romance, but hope breaking through sadness and Michellar delivers that in sincerity and spark.

*Intersection* read like sunlight piercing through clouds, the every so brief moment of love that rewrites the world around you. Michellar makes a triumph of her folk debut and demonstrates she can turn individual healing into universal magic. Press play and follow it into its whirlwind.
