Geese’s “3D Country” is quite a progressive step in the journey of rock music that tends to be experimental. The story itself is as enchanting as the music, though, the second album of the Brooklyn band is telling the story of the stereotyped cowboy, who goes through his adventures in the psychedelic desert. The first song ‘2122’ pulls off the mask setting a theatrical stage with the classic rock style guitars and grandiose arrangements shifting the expectation built from ‘Projector’. The album builds a very experimental character of an album that has influences of jazz and country that never gets the listener bored. All in all, such manner in which Geese is capable of delving into different styles than not sacrificing the overall identity of the contemporary rock music that “3D Country” embodies is impressive.
