Luno, the self-titled EP, explore several styles of sound and effectively intertwines features of tender psych-pop and bold rock’n’roll charm. Bruno Di Tillo from Berlin starts with “Lights Out” and sets a determined tone that tells the audience it is time to relax with some fine vocals and a few plucks on the guitar. But the core of the song is so full of nostalgia that it harmoniously echoes the aims of the great rock-and-roll bands of the past. This is evident as the EP progresses, tracks such as “Suntern” present a combined feel of blues rock with instrumentation enhanced by synth accompanied by serious introspection, “Gentle Interlude” has the listener hooked with a bee Bever immaculate gripping texture. The very last tune, “Come to Bed,” offers one last romp of hooks coupled with the playful sentimentality of sixties pop, and thus, the collection is probably memorable on those terms at least. This EP is a promising statement of Luno’s skill and an albums worth of listening that begs for attention and consideration.
