They even have that slightly disorientating feeling, their first track 'Imposter' involves fighting with oneself while fighting for self, in the sea of society's expectations that we all recognise that we fight. Seattle-cult artist Aarin Wallace stomps a dose of the grunge into pop music that'll make you tap your feet and bob your head without even realizing it. At the back is steady beat, simple rhythm guitar, dropped back twangy fills which are playful and work nicely with Wallace’s characterful vocals. The hook grabs you by the melody people sing along, the bridge does what it has to do, many can relate to release. Imposter is definitely heavy grunge but the melodic pop rock hooks are very much thumping anchors of an anthem for all of the ‘squares pegs in a round hole’. It is a simple message on resisting the force straightening a person out to be in conformity but to remain true to themselves.
