“Overtones” is Pique’s first work and it is as intense and inspiring as a transformatious. It starts with guitar dynamics with psych connotations that make you pay immediate attention; it’s all catchy and welcoming. As the tracks are to feature Nathan’s pathos-filled confessing-type vocals which gently float over twinkle-toed guitar and complex kits drums, they do not lose the spirit of Unknown Mortal Orchestra. The vocal hooks are added to the songs, which form an addictive desire to play the songs again; the organ-supported break relaxes as a good interlude before continuing a fantastic experience. Ending on eerie synths, the song “Overtones” kinda carries considerable potentialities which Pique has in store, additionally, predicting progressive development of this project.
