“High Fever” by Human Intrusion sits their fans engage with a fuzzy and atmospheric rock music which has elements of 80s and 90s post punk and gothic rock music. The track starts with post punk guitar lines that recall The Chameleons UK, before increasing the intensity of the whole love declaring crescendo. The vocals come in with precision and patience and this just floats over the thick bass that only builds up a haunting ambiance. The first few lines of this song are complemented perfectly by the wordless backing vocals and beefy guitar playing that draws you into the darkside of nostalgia. Due to Penny and Lewis making an excellent team with Jess adding energy to any live performances, “High Fever” seeks to find the beautiful behind dark themes so as to encourage people to accept their dark sides as well.
