Dear Banshee’s “Greed is perfect example of how alt-rock can get, brash, forceful and eclectic with differing octave levels steadily building up the first listen to the fruit. This San Francisco based quintet continues to hit the right notes by combining a gradually building vocal effect to the strains of the guitar as it steadily rises. The non-jarring, yet, strongly suggestive guitar and the drum work gradually rise to that oppressive vocal of theirs only to be thrown into a thrilling layer of distortion. This can be compared to programmes, which are Radiohead and especially Thom Yorke and the brassy art-rock edges from the track create an additional deeper layer to the vocals. “Greed” is a prime example of an excellent song about desire and its implications; thus, it must be on the band’s second album called *Wake of Modern Life* as well as help Dear Banshee make its presence in modern rock formations indeniable.
