Like most bands of modern rock, Buffalo Boy’s “Where Did You Go?” provides songs with a beat and tune that maintains a rhythm of sexual appeal and rock but also sends across messages of existentialism. Often I have a tendency to come across such projects where musicians try to create something, yet fail to remember that being catchy is the key in pop-punk Today, James Thomas, the man behind this project, delivers a song that for some reason or the other is able to catch the ear with its cheery guitar trills and a hook that is easy on the ears as well as the tongue. Soon enough we are presented with a catchy synth line and the whole atmosphere goes deep into psychedelic zone and more layers appear. The combination of fast and shining melodies with rather emotional bassline makes the music profound but at the same time – very lively.
