Buddy’s new single, ‘Relatable’ is energized yet emotional; catchy and compelling. The first species of impact that one receives is a bass driven groove that a listener can easily connect to; the band could best be described as the Talking Heads sort of. As the song goes on, the vocals go up in a genuine search for a connection, such is so often a people’s experience. The production mostly has a punk influence specifically the last scene where there is a guitar shift with much distortion giving the feeling of the climax. Indeed, the title track, “Relatable” is catchy, memorable and with themes that resonate with most people. This release illustrates that Buddy’s goal is to make music that, upon release, people will want to join in on; this is highly relatable. It is an interesting addition to the array of the constant alternative rock scene.
