Bocce’s “Good for You”: An Anthem for Defiance Against Conformity

[full-width]
The screellar of Bocce’s debut album is called “Good for You” and it milks angst y alt-rock, frustration and rebellion as well as criticisms of society. The intense keeping of the guitar drives an engaging wave and eloqing the tone of the voice sarcastic and vivacious. It sums freedom fighting against the grayness of the suburbs referencing the one the Yeah Yeah Yeahs offer. During the guitars buildup for an explosive chorus, Bottoms takes on the role of an empowering song for people who are stuck against their will. Both this track, alongside with the somewhat cheerful but dark-sounding “Haunting You”, showcase Bocce’s versatility and vocal abilities, and it’s for this reason that their debut EP is a journey about individual and social conflict.
